Art Nouveau Flowers

11 Aug

I made these towards my fashion / textiles course homework – – – Art Nouveau Flowers.  First, from the book, Garden Florals by V & A Pattern, I sketched and copied various designs, then I transferred these to coloured card, outlining the pieces with a black marker.  The shapes were cut out and arranged on a background card, with stems, leaves, and other patterns further embellished with black pen.

Sooooo very pretty! I love the use of colour, they look like stained glass. What textiles course are you studying? xx

Thanks 🙂 It’s a fashion and textiles course from BTEC at my local college. I’m a “mature” student 😉 xx

I just love your Art Nouveau flower designs, I hope you will be able to use them on your BTEC course. Someone designed that doggie paper – and got paid for it. Hope to see your designs in the shops soon.

Thanks Elaine, they’re great designs I’ve copied from. I’m hoping to use art nouveau in my course work, I’m so much in love with it.
