Bubbles The Frog, dog toy

24 Jul

Meet Bubbles – no, not that one from Trailer Park Boys!

РBubbles The Frog, a soft toy I made for my Jack Russell, Chester Pup. She loves carrying him about already. Jack Russells are such playful dogs.

Bubbles The Frog

Named Bubbles because 1) he has googly eyes just like the one from TPB, and, 2) the name is just too good not to use.

This toy frog is made from a recycled top, with polyester stuffing, felt for googly eyes, and a textile pen for defining the shape and mouth. This easy-to-make Bubbles The Frog soft toy pattern with simple to follow instructions can by purchased (to cover postage costs, including international) through my blog –

It seems WordPress doesn’t allow html coding and therefore I cannot place a BUY IT NOW button for my Paypal accounthowever you CAN still pay with this method by sending your Paypal payment to my Paypal email thelittlelogcabin @ mailpuppy.com ūüėČ – just remember to close the spaces before and after the @ . If I didn’t do this I would get even more spam, and who wants that?!

Payment is just £3 to cover postage and photocopying costs, for international too. For a currency converter just click HERE.

Make with all kinds of fabric (patterns are interesting) however felt is great for eyes. Don’t use buttons for children under 3 or for pets because of the possible choking hazard. Scale down for a cat size toy.

Scotty Dog Cap

6 Jun

Recognise this fabric?¬† It’s the same fabric as my “Scotty Dog Skirt” AND(!) the “Scotty Dog Bag” – 2 separate posts; the skirt is almost finished.

After seeing to the skirt, there was quite some fabric left, so after making the little bag, I covered one of my British army caps…and there’s still some fabric left hehe ūüėĬ†

Chester’s Poop Bags

Don't get caught short!

Under The Gate

These beautiful lilac flowers grow on my garage.

I took these photos today when I came home…

Then,¬†under the gate someone squeaked at me.¬† Next, a black nose appeared¬†and a reaching paw scrabbled underneath.¬† It’s so nice to be greeted when you come home ūüôā

Sea Dog Sweater

16 May

Chester Pup got treated to a beautiful cream coloured nautical jumper – – – knitted by her grand-pup-mother.¬† I am useless at knitting so very pleased to receive this autumn / winter dog coat for my Jack Russell…perfect for colder days.

Chester Pup with "woodworking" tool

The dog coat pattern came from a book called Knitted Dog Coats: Over 20 Designs for Handsome Hounds and Perfect Pooches by Anna Tillman.

Mum knitted this for her grand-pup

This is such an adorable book, the photos alone with the different types of dogs wearing all styles of coats are lovely to look at.¬† But…if you are a knitter and a dog lover this book is a real treasure!

Below, photos of Chester wearing her new Sea Dog Coat :p

...finished with nautical "sea anchor" buttons!

My Little Sea Dog all set for autumn and winter.
